Narendra Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat, India. He is the third of four children of Damodardas Mulchand Modi, a tea seller, and Hiraben Modi. Modi’s family was poor, and he had to work from a young age to help support them. He attended school in Vadnagar, where he was a good student. He was also active in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist volunteer organization.
Modi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 1980. He quickly rose through the ranks of the party, and in 1990, he was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat. Modi served as Chief Minister for 13 years, during which time he oversaw Gujarat’s economic development. However, he was also criticized for his handling of the 2002 Gujarat riots, in which more than 1,000 people, mostly Muslims, were killed.
In 2014, Modi was elected Prime Minister of India. He promised to bring about economic development and to improve the lives of the poor. He also promised to crack down on corruption and terrorism.
Modi has been a controversial figure throughout his career. His supporters praise him for his economic policies and his commitment to Hindu nationalism. His critics accuse him of being a divisive figure who has failed to address the needs of the poor and marginalized.
Modi is married to Jashodaben Modi. They have no children. Modi is a vegetarian and a teetotaler. He is also a fitness enthusiast and is known for his early morning walks.
Modi’s net worth is estimated to be around Rupee 3.5 Crore. He is one of the richest politicians in India. His wealth comes from his businesses, his investments, and his book royalties.
Modi is currently serving his second term as Prime Minister of India. He is the longest-serving Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru. Modi’s government has been criticized for its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, the economy, and the farmers’ protests. However, he remains a popular figure among many Indians.
